Ricky L. Wickline

Ricky L. “Footloose” Wickline, 56, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Friday morning, December 12, 2014 in OSU Medical Center, Columbus following an extended illness.  He was born February 8, 1958 in Chillicothe.  On July 6, 2013 he married Denise L. Downer who survives.

Also surviving are his step-mothers, Faye Wickline and Shirley Wickline, Chillicothe;  father-in-law, Dell Downer, Cardington, OH;  son, Ricky L. Wickline, Jr, Chillicothe;  step-children, Janna Rodgers, Lonnie Downer, Jason Cottrill, all of Chillicothe and Jessica Bright, Marion, OH; several step-grandchildren; sisters, LaWana (Harry) Detty, Frankfort and Terry Wickline, Pickerington, OH;  sister-in-law, Bobbie Carmon, Ironton, OH;  brother, James Wickline, Lancaster: step-brothers, Todd Wilson, Kingston, Travis Wilson and Larry Lunsford, both of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell R. Wickline, step-son, Marty Cottrill, brother, Darrell R. Wickline, Jr. and a cousin, Chris Walters.

Ricky was the former owner and operator of Footloose Motorcycle Repair.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Boozefighters 93 Motorcycle Club and American Legion Post 757.  He enjoyed building and working on motorcycles and was a former dirt track driver.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at American Legion Post 757.  Burial will follow in Soldiers Square, Greenlawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  A Celebration of his life will be held at the discretion of the family.  Calling hours will not be observed.  The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
