Rickey A. Detty, Sr.

Rickey A. Detty, Sr., 48, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, Mar. 1, 2011 at his residence. He was born Jan. 6, 1963 in Chillicothe, the son of Wilson "Buck" and Sally (Johnson) Detty. Surviving is his companion, Denise Bright, a daughter, Tonya (Ray) Howard, sons, Rickey (Amy) Detty, II, all of Chillicothe and Sgt. Billy (Heidi) Detty, Ft. Campbell, KY, several stepchildren, 6 grandchildren, sisters, Janice Detty, Mary Schoonover, Rosa Hettinger and Kathy Smith, all of Chillicothe, brothers, Bill Smith, Londonderry, Ovid Detty and Thomas Detty, both of Xenia and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Detty. Mr. Detty enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Mar. 5, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday. Following cremation, interment will be in Little Mound Cemetery at the discretion of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
