Ralph L. Gallaugher

Ralph L. Gallaugher, 72, of Madeira Beach, Fl, passed from this life of Friday, Apr. 15, 2010 in Brookside Hospice, Palm Harbor, FL after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born June 10, 1938, the son of the late Ralph R. and Beatrice (Smith) Gallaugher. Originally from Chillicothe, had been residing in Madeira Beach, FL in the winter and Lake Choctaw in London, OH in the summer. Surviving is his wife of 13 years, Sara (Shaffer) Gallaugher, his children, Ralph of Mumford, TN, Dan of Bainbridge, OH, Sandra of Lakeview, OH and Nikki of Wapakoneta, OH, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, mother-in-law, Hazel Richards of Palm Harbor, FL, two step-sons and two step-grandchildren, all of FL and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Nancy Fallon and their two children of Columbus, IN. He was preceded by siblings, Charles, John and Bea Ann Shultz. Ralph was associated with Wholesale Electronics in Portsmouth and Chillicothe, OH and was retired from Porsche-Audi North, now MAG of Dublin, OH. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. Ralph will be remembered for his love of mushroom hunting, playing poker, pool and in the last few years, fishing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Private burial will be at the discretion of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday. Friends from London and Columbus will gather at the lake house at 5:00 pm Saturday for a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Church, Chillicothe, OH or to Suncoast Hospice, Clearwater, FL.
