Philip E. Diehl

Philip E. Diehl, 76, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Friday January 16, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 23, 1949 in Chillicothe, the son of Phillip L. and Ruth (Green) Diehl. On March 21, 2011, he married Sharron Lynn Griffith who survives.

Also surviving is his daughter, Amy Jo Spires (John Campbell), step-daughter, Tara (Tim) Heard, grandchildren, Ray Hicks, Brenna (Antonio) Brown, Timmy Heard, Tyler Heard, Adrianna Huth, Craig Aiden Huth and Alex Huth, a great-grandchild, Ares Brown, and a sister, Sally Ann Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Sheri Lin (Kerr) Diehl, a daughter, Tamara Linn Diehl, and a step-son, Craig Huth.

Philip was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked in the meat department at Kroger for 42 years, and he enjoyed singing. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 21, 2026 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Hines, officiating and military honors conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Public calling hours will not be observed.
