Peggy A. (Vincent) Burton

Peggy A. (Vincent) Burton, 82, of New Holland, Ohio, passed from this life on Friday morning, August 29, 2014 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center West, Columbus, Ohio.  She was born October 6, 1931 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Connor and Marjorie Ruth (Wetzel) Vincent.  On November 2, 1950 she married Harry Olen Burton who preceded her in death on June 23, 2000.

Surviving are her sons, Vincent (Jan) Burton, Grove City, Ohio and Ronald M. Burton, Longmont, Colorado; grandchildren, Aaron, Natalie, Brian and Olivia Burton; a sister, Penny Lloyd, Chillicothe; a niece, Missy Butt, Chillicothe and several other nieces and nephews.  Her parents and a brother, Wesley Vincent preceded her in death.

She and her husband owned and operated Burton’s Jewelry Store in Oak Hill, Ohio until their retirement in 1982.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Peggy enjoyed reading, shopping and travel.  She was a generous and giving person and will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
