Pauline E. Large, 93, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Sunday morning, May 16, 2010 following an extended illness. She was born Apr. 2, 1917 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Robert T. and Charlotte (Caldwell) Spindler. On Aug. 4, 1945 she married Ernest Large who preceded her in death July 17, 1983. Surviving is her son, David and his wife, Ruth Pabst, Sr., Chillicothe, grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Tim Poole, David and his wife, Christine Pabst, Jr., and Cindy and her husband, Frank Estep, eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Clarabelle Elliott, Chillicothe. Her parents, sisters, Ruth Dempsey and Virginia Young and brothers, Robert, Ralph and Richard Spindler preceded her in death. Mrs. Large was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2010 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday.
