Pauline Opal (Jenkins) Mason

Pauline Opal (Jenkins) Mason, 86, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday morning, August 31, 2014 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. She was born February 2, 1928 in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Orland V. and Mabel P. (Brown) Jenkins. On July 26, 1993 she married Robert D. “Art” Mason who preceded her in death on November 11, 1998.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda L. (Glen Dean) Wilson, Chillicothe and Elizabeth Straight and companion, Jim Anderson, Conway, SC; sons, Sherman W. Hawk, Jr., Port Republic, MD and David E. (Tonya) Hawk, Waverly; grandchildren, Dena, Julie, Paul, Michael, Allen, Emily, Nathan, Derek and Brittany and 13 great-grandchildren. Her parents and a sister, M. Katherine Schrader preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mason was a Registered Nurse with Adena Health System, retiring in 1993. She had attended the Kingston Community Church and was a graduate of Hocking Technical College School of Nursing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Brad Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
