Paul David Park

Paul David Park, 79, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday morning, Aug. 17, 2011 in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. He was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Chillicothe, the son of Marion O. and Esther Marie (Justice) Park. On June 7, 1953 he married M. Carolyn Sherrick who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Sondra (H. Joseph) Coleman, Chillicothe, sons, David L. (Jandyll N.) Park, Chillicothe and Douglas A. (Carolyn) Park, Frankfort, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, sisters, Kathryn Riley, Chillicothe, Elizabeth Coffman, Jackson, Faye (Roger) Shoemaker, Chillicothe and Margaret (David) Riddenheimer, Ft. Wayne, IN, brothers, Ray (Chloeann)Park and Warren Park, both of Chillicothe, a sister-in-law, Nancy Park, Chillicothe and special nieces and nephews. His parent and brothers, Melvin, Richard and Roger preceded him in death. Mr. Park was an employee of Chilpaco with 40 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 757. He was a member of the Westside Nazarene Church where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 with Rev. Robert A. Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
