Paul Leedom, 94, of Kingston passed from this life on Friday evening, December 11, 2015 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe following an extended illness.  He was born April 27, 1921 in Ross County, the son of the late Arthur and Bess (Putnam) Leedom.  On November 15, 1947 he married Virginia L. Imler who preceded him in death on August 11, 2012.

Surviving is his daughter, Connie Carmean, Hallsville; grandchildren, Clay (Cheryl) Carmean, Stacey Carmean (Suzi Hart) and Channin Carmean (Chad Montgomery); 7 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Clark David Carmean, a son-in-law, Earl David Carmean, 2 sisters and 7 brothers.

Mr. Leedom was a retired nursing assistant at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe.  He was a U.S. Army veterans serving in World War in the European Theatre as a combat infantryman where he received the Purple Heart.  He was a member of the D.A.V.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating.  Military Honors will be presented by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
