Pastor James L Steele

Pastor James L. Steele, 68, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday November 13, 2022 in OSU East Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born on May 27, 1954 in Columbus, OH to James W. and Arnetta (Woltz) Steele.

Surviving is his mother, Arnetta, Chillicothe; brothers, Tim (Susan) Steele, Delaware, OH; and David Steele, Kingsport, TN; nieces, Heather Robinson and Emily Steele, nephews, Daniel (Heather) Steele and Andy Hastings, great nieces, Brooklyn Robinson and Hannah Steele, and a great nephew, Peyton Robinson.  He was preceded in death by his father.

James was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Ohio University, Circleville Bible College, and the Delaware Methodist Theological School.  He was the current Pastor of Londonderry UM Church, and had also served as Pastor for Alma, Omega, and Andersonville UM Churches.

A private Graveside Service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery at the discretion of the family.  Calling hours will not be observed.
