Otis Murray

Otis Murray, 73, of the Vigo community, passed from this life early Monday morning, Dec. 24, 2007 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 17, 1934 in Chillicothe, the son of Ernest and Ethel (Farmer) Murray. Surviving are sons, Anthony and wife, Rhonda Murray, Jeff Murray, Bruce Murray, Rodney Murray and Michael Murray, all of Chillicothe, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sisters, Marjorie Murray and Lucille Rearley, both of Chillicothe. His parents, a sister, Helen Murray and a brother, Oakley Murray preceded him in death. Mr. Murray was a retired employee of the City of Chillicothe. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 757. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Harlan Alspach officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.
