Opal L. Johnson

Opal Lea Johnson, 73, of Waverly, unexpectedly passed from this life on Monday morning, June 18, 2012 in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 18, 1938 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of John A. and Anna L. (Rhyner) Bobo. On Aug. 18, 1956 she married Robert E. Johnson who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Annette and husband, John Stinson, Waverly and Anita and husband, Charlie Schramm, Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Cathy Stinson, Justin Stinson and Andria (Garrett) Fitch; a great-grandson, Gideon M. Fitch; a sister, Julia Reynolds, Chillicothe and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents, 7 sisters and 5 brothers preceded her in death.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Johnson was involved in the operation of the family farm for many years. She was a member of the Jasper Wesleyan Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jack Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
