Olive Elizabeth “Livvie” Sullivan Wiseman, passed away at 8:32 am on February 17, 2016. She was born February 7, 1926 at 7:20 am in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, an only child, to Wilhelmena “Minnette” Mull and George Carpenter Sullivan. Her mother, Wilhelmena, was the daughter of Henry Mull and Elizabeth Schultz – a descendant of the Schultz Von Mueller family from Europe. Livvie moved with her parents to Chillicothe in the 7th grade and starred in the school play as “Evangeline.” On May 20, 1946 Livvie was married to Dr. William E. Wiseman in Newport, Kentucky. He predeceased her on June 30, 2005. They were married for fifty-nine years.
Livvie gave birth to her four precious children: Carol L. Wiseman (Orville Butcher) of Washington Court House, William D. Wiseman and Barbara A. (Jack C.) Mahaffey of Chillicothe, and Cheryl S. (Richard) Frey Looney of Bainbridge. She has 7 surviving grandchildren: Roger (Carisa) Boler, Paul (Camey) Vernier, Christina R. (Jason) Friend, Nikki Mahaffey, William C. Mahaffey, William H. Wiseman II, and Isaac D. Wiseman II. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Carolyn Wiseman of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Livvie has four nieces and four nephews on the Wiseman side. She has 9 great grandchildren (Brad, Ciera, Michele, Kallie, Kyler, Vincent, Nevaeh, Emily, and Ethan), and three great great grandchildren (Alexander, Tatum, and Elayna). She was pre-deceased by one grandson, Mark V. Vernier.
After graduating from Chillicothe High School in June 1943, Livvie attended The Ohio State University, majoring in art and minoring in English. Livvie was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Old Rock Ringers Bell Choir. She was a twenty-six plus year employee of the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center and retired as its Chief Bookkeeper in 1993. She was the first “employee of the year” of the SPVMHC. Livvie drew the picture of Martha Cottrill that hangs in the Martha Cottrill Clinic (Ross County) of the SPVMHC.
Livvie is also survived by friends, Dr. Steve and Aggie Stevenson, a dearest best friend, Virginia “Ginny” Fuller, friend Ron Hayes, favorite pharmacist, Steve Allen, favorite beautician, Kelly Bost, doctors, Dr. Subha Ramen (OSU Cardiologist) and Dr. Ianni, and favorite accountant, Don Seigner. Livvie said that she had the most fun bowling, fishing, and traveling with her children who provided her happiest adventures and were her proudest accomplishments. She was known for being a two code survivor.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dr. Jason T. Link officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Music Program or to a charity of choice.
