Olga Mae Nichols Cook Truman, 87, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 9, 2010 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center following a short illness. She was born Apr. 15, 1922, the daughter of John and Ruby (Ellison) Nichols. On July 7, 1947 she married Elijah Cook who preceded her in death Mar. 19, 1987. She later married Joe Truman who preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1994. Surviving are daughters, Brenda and husband, Tom Hinton, Chillicothe, Glenda Matson, Stuart, FL, Melody and husband, Charles Hailer, TN and Joy and husband, Kelly Spetnagel, Chillicothe, step-children, Roy and wife, Sharon Truman, Chillicothe and Jennifer and husband, Bob Jividen, Bucyrus, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mildred Nichols, Chillicothe. Her parents, a son, a great-grandson and a sister preceded her in death. For 10 years, Mrs. Truman served as a foster grandmother for Ross County Head Start and was a member of Hilltop Mission Church. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and had so many special friends. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Satterfield and Rev. Doug Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
