Ola Gayle Vandergriff

Ola Gayle Vandergriff, 72, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Sunday, October 10, 2021, in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1949, in Bainbridge, Ohio, the daughter of Robert S. And June F. (Haas) Draise. On August 10, 1968, she married her husband of 53 years, David L. Vandergriff, who survives.

Also surviving are her sons, David L. (Jean) Vandergriff, II, Round Lake Beach, IL, and Johnathan M. Vandergriff, Chillicothe; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert A. (Carol) Draise, Cincinnati, Ohio and close family friends, David R. and Lisa Castle, Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandra.

She was a former quality control specialist for Mead Paper and will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME. A brief prayer will be offered at 6:00 pm. Private interment will be in Bainbridge Cemetery at the discretion of the family.
