Odward L. Merriman

Odward L. "Oddie" Merriman, 78, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life Sunday May 29, 2011, at his residence. He was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Chillicothe, to the late Odward B. and Vida Merriman. On June 27, 1958, he married Jean Flaherty, who preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 2006 Surviving is a niece; Dianne (Rex) Riddle, Londonderry, a nephew, Scott (Joanne) Johnston, Venice, FL, several great nieces and great nephews, and special friends; Joyce Townsend and Bruce Townsend, both of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Johnston. Mr. Merriman was a U.S. Army veteran and was an employee of Mead Paper for more than 40 years. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday June 7, 2011, in St. Margaret's Cemetery, with Rev. Gunnar Cerda, officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
