Nolan M. Barnhart, 60, of Londonderry, passed from this life early Sunday morning, July 20, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1947 in Chillicothe, the son of Nolan and Opal (Martin) Barnhart. On Aug. 28, 1976 he married Sarah E. Archer who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Angela Martin, Tracy Barnhart and Samantha Barnhart, all of Elkhart, IN, Tonya (Douglas) Hughes, Londonderry and Amy (Walter) Swetcoff, Vandalia, MI, a son, James (Candy) Housh, Shipshewana, IN, grandchildren, Jeffery Hughes, Paul, Aaron, Calley, Benjamin, Nicholas and Jamie Housh, Travis and Morgan Martin and Kenneth Porzelius, sisters, Ruth Ann White, Chillicothe, Rosemary Smith, Richmond Dale, Judith Knecht, Alaska, and Carol Frazier and Sandy Collier, both of Londonderry and a brother, Willard Barnhart, Chillicothe. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Barnhart was a retired employee of VFW Post 108. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and was a Life Member of VFW Post 108 and AMVETS # 4. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 24, 2008 in the Londonderry Cemetery with Rev. Ed Dozer officiating and military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday.
