Mona Bondurant Woolum, 93, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday evening, December 5, 2012 in Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born March 29, 1919 in Oak Hill, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Dottie (Fargo) Bondurant. She was one of ten children. Mona graduated from Oak Hill High School in the class of 1937. On September 27, 1938 she married Raymond A. Woolum who preceded her in death in 1991. Also preceeding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Kay Fizer, three infant brothers, brothers, Jack and Al Bondurant and three sisters, Orilla Morgan, Florence Trainer and Juanita Jenkins.
Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Robin Woolum, Chillicothe; son-in-law, Don Fizer, Chillicothe; three granddaughters, Beth (Randy) Gable, Portsmouth, Sheri (Tony) Fultz, Chillicothe and Amy (Matt) Ejma, Gatlinburg, TN; seven great-grandchildren, Leslie (Jason) Fultz-Keiser, Andrew Fultz, Megan Fultz, Madison Barlage, Zachary Barlage, Moriah Barlage and Alexis Valentine; two great-great-granddaughters, London and Leighton; a sister, Helen Corrigan, Port Richey, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Mona was a 21 year employee of the Adena State Memorial and also worked at Templin and Greisheimer Jewelers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Chillicothe and later the First Baptist Church of Waverly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Gary Pack officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill CM Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
