Milton R. Currier, 84, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Thursday evening, Aug. 20, 2009 in the OSU Medical Center, Columbus. He was born Feb. 22, 1925 in Chillicothe, the son of Lawrence and Elizabeth Currier. On Jan. 25, 1952 he married Dorothy Anderson who preceded him in death Mar. 31, 1999. Surviving is a son, Richard Currier, Chillicothe, a son, Alfred Currier and a daughter, Jennie Miller, both of Anacortes, WA, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a sister, Velma Currier, Chillicothe. His parents and a brother, Lawrence Currier, Jr. preceded him in death. Mr. Currier was a police officer for the City of Chillicothe with 25 years of service, retiring in 1980. Following his retirement, he founded the Chillicothe Security Service in which he was active for more than 25 years. He was a member of F.O.P. Lodge 59. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. John Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service with and F.O.P. service immediately prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
