Maxine (Rohrer) Rittinger

Maxine Rittinger, 93, of Chillicothe, passed from this life 2:10 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2012, in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was born May 22, 1919, in Ross County, the daughter of Bartley P. and Leona Burton Rohrer. On November 18, 1939, she married Robert A. Rittinger who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter Tana (Ronald) Kelly, Carmel, IN; a son David A. (Mahasti) Rittinger, Columbus;3 grandchildren Mark (Keirsten) Kelly, Jeremy (Nycole) Kelly, and Nema Bezak; and 4 great grandchildren, Layne Evelyn Kelly, Mia Grace Kelly, Luke David Kelly, and Jake William Kelly, and two special great grand niece and nephew Evelyn and Andrew Hamman. Her parents and a sister Mary Polly Shonkwiler preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rittinger worked as the cafeteria manager for Chillicothe City Schools, She was the past president of the W.C.T.U. and a devoted member of Brookside Church where funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, May 31, 2012 with Rev. Jack Norman, Rev. David Dean and Dr. Ronald Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn of Frankfort. The Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookside Senior Adult Ministries Program.
