Max E. Bostwick

Max E. Bostwick, 70, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Friday morning, Sept. 12, 2008 at his residence. He was born Dec. 29, 1937 in Ross County, the son of Max J. and Ruth I. (Clark) Bostwick. On May 24, 1996 he married Diana M. Humphries who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Leila A. Doles and Tammy S. Tyler, a son, Max E. Bostwick, II, all of Chillicothe, his beloved canine companion, Shelby, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, a brother, Larry (Jean) Bostwick, Sayre, OK, special cousins, Jayne and Jim Herrnstein and special friends, John Wilhelm, Mike Brady, Chuck and Kathy Humphries, Willie and Peco Humphries and a "special son", Roger Powell. His parents and 2 brothers preceded him in death. Max was an employee of Pepsi for more than 42 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 600 and the AMVETS and VFW Auxiliaries. A celebration of his life will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Brady officiating. Following the service, Max had requested cremation. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the hour of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Adena Health System.
