Mary Lou Uhrig, 79 of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, Dec. 6, 2011 in Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 18, 1932 in Chillicothe, the daughter of George and Belva (May)Seymour. On Nov.30, 1957 she married Richard A. "Dick" Uhrig who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2011. Surviving are daughters, Ellen Jean and husband, Gary Bell, Chillicothe and Sharon and husband, Tim Sams, Waverly; a son, Rex and wife, Angie Uhrig, Jackson; grandchildren, Ashley Thurman, Brad Uhrig, Tanya Yoe, Travis Uhrig, Christina Lewis and Sara Berg and 3 great-grandchildren. Her parents, brothers, Edwin, Robert and Paul J. Seymour, 3 infant brothers and a great-grandson preceded her in death. Mrs. Uhrig was a former employee of the Holiday Inn. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed bingo. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Browns Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.
