Mary E. Minnix

Mary E. Minnix, 87, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Thursday evening, Mar. 5, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born July 14, 1921 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Ernest and Eva (Flynn) Parker. On July 20, 1955 she married Robert S. Minnix who preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Delores L. and Leo E. Rhodes, Karen E. and Ronald E. Posey and Cheryl D. and Douglas A. Ray, all of Chillicothe, a step-son, Robert S. Minnix, Washington CH, OH, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a brother, Harry Parker, Chillicothe. Her parents, a son, Wayne F. Reutinger, 6 sisters and 5 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Minnix was an employee of Adena Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1986. She had attended Pleasant Valley (Plug Run) Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a member of the American Legion Post 757 Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. David Marhoover officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
