Mary E. Imler

Mary E. Imler, 103, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Friday afternoon, Sept. 5, 2008 in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. She was born Aug. 9, 1905 in Ross County, the daughter of Henry and Lovetta (Childers) Barnes. In 1923 she married Guy E. Imler who preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Paul Leedom, Kingston, grandchildren, Guy and wife, Gloria McQuaide, Chillicothe and Connie and husband, David Carmean, Hallsville, 3 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, 4 great- great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents, a daughter, Betty Ault, a great-great grandson, 6 sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Imler was a cook for Williams Restaurant for many years. She was a member of the Hallsville EUB Church and had attended Overly Chapel Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday.
