Mary M. Martindale, 84, of Newport, Tennessee, formerly of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life early Monday morning, September 9, 2013 in Newport, Tennessee. She was born November 30, 1928 in Greenfield, Ohio, the daughter of Dwight and Elizabeth (Beechler) Buck. On December 29, 1946 she married John W. Martindale who preceded her in death October 20, 2006.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Martindale, Chillicothe; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janet Martindale, Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shawn Martindale, Dustin Martindale, John Bobo, III, Robert Bobo and Bryan Bobo; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dwight (Jean) Buck, Jr., Florida, Paul Buck, New Jersey, Herbert Buck and Bill (Karen) Buck, Greenfield, Ohio; special friends, Bill and Carolyn Lizak and Marvin and Mary Shaw, all of Chillicothe. Her parents and brothers, Jim, John and Tom Buck preceded her in death.
Mrs. Martindale had been an employee of Rinks Department Store. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 13, 2013 in the Lighthouse Baptist Church West Campus, 341 Clinton Road with Pastor Ryan Bevan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund.
