Marjorie C. Distelhorst, 82, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born January 15, 1929 in El Paso, TX, the daughter of Ralph and Avis Dunica. Her husband, Paul Distelhorst preceded her in death in 1983 Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Marilyn Hempfling, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Douglas Paul Hempfling, Michelle Kerns, Stephanie Eakins and Jennie Hempfling, 5 great grandchildren and a sister, Bettie Falls, Chillicothe. Her parents and a son, William Stephan Hempfling preceded her in death. Marjorie was a retired employee and former Executive Director of Ross County Community Action. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed quilting and knitting. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 18, 2011 in Londonderry Cemetery with Pastor Alan Cory officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
