Marilyn B. Liebe

Marilyn Beth Liebe, 80, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness.  She was born September 28, 1937 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Ernest F. and Mabel (Rinehart) Hamm, Sr.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence “Sonny” Withrow and John Liebe.

Surviving is her former husband, Robert E. Stratton, Sr., Chillicothe; daughters, Beth A. (Stephen) Neal, Chillicothe and Susan M. (John) Hutchison, Waverly; sons, Robert E. (Linda) Stratton, Jr. and Bryan L. (Ranae) Stratton, all of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Arledge, Chillicothe; brothers, Ernest F. Hamm, Jr., Florida and Gerald (Judy) Hamm, Marysville, OH and a long-time special friend, Ruth Frazier, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Beverly and a granddaughter.

Mrs. Liebe was a retired social worker for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and was a member of the Bethesda Christian Church.  She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

The family wish to extend special thanks to Westmoreland Place and Heartland Hospice for their care and concern.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dennis Garman officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home form 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
