Margaret Schaffer

Margaret Blair Schaffer, 94, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday morning, Feb.6, 2010 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born July 8, 1915 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of David and Margaret J. (Blair) Schaffer. She is survived by special friends, Greg and Kay Smith, Mildred Stewart, Bobby Smith, Etha Graves, a special niece, Nancy Thomas and the Medley-Smith family, all of Chillicothe. Margaret was a 1933 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She retired after many years as a cook with several downtown restaurants including the McCarty Hotel and the Randi-Rein. She was a former member of the Quinn Chapel AME Church and a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Alston and Reverend Jonathan McReynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.
