Margaret Ann (Hinty) Huffman

Margaret Ann (Hinty) Huffman, 77, of Marietta, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday evening, July 14, 2007 in Marietta Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Mar. 22, 1930 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Elmer C. and Audra (Neff) Thacker. On Jan. 30, 1949 she married Raymond F. Hinty who preceded her in death on Apr. 2, 1981. On Jan. 21, 1985 she married Howard A. Ripple who preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1999. On July 21, 2001 she married Albert R. Huffman, who survives. Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Nancy Hinty, Chillicothe, Bob and Cheryl Hinty, Ft. Wayne, IN, Dennis and Julie Hinty, Waverly and Jerry and Kim Hinty, Columbus, grandchildren, Matt, Todd, Teresa and Katy Hinty, Josh and Scott Hinty, Amy and husband, Justin Payne and Nick, Gretchen and Audra Hinty and 7 great grandchildren. Her parents and a brother, Donald Thacker preceded her in death. Margaret Ann was a retired employee of Sears with more than 20 years of service. She had attended the First Church of the Nazarene and had served for many years as a church organist and pianist. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 19, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Clingan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
