Marciel M. Day

Marciel M. Day, 82, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Sunday morning, Feb. 3, 2008 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 3, 1925 in Beason, IN, the daughter of William and Louise (Weileman) Girardot. On Mar. 25, 1946 she married Myron P. Day who preceded her in death in 1978. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Brookie and Lawrence Heightsman, Jr., Chillicothe, grandchildren, Scott and Daniel Diehl, a great-grandchild, Brook Diehl, a sister, Patricia Coen, Ft. Wayne, IN and a brother, James Girardot, Phoenix, AZ. Her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Day was a retired employee of Marietta Place Nursing Facility. She was a member of the Catholic Church for most of her life. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Fr. Richard Terry officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Adena Health System.
