Malisa S. Carter, 94, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Monday evening, March 23, 2015 in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born October 14, 1920 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of Samuel P. and Lenora (Qualls) Stamper. On August 26, 1945 she married William E. Carter who preceded her in death in 1978.
Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Sue (Rex) Johnston, Columbus, Nancie Lynn (Glenn) Arbaugh, Chillicothe and Debra Jo Hunt, Troy; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her parents, 2 sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carter was a Registered Nurse with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, retiring in 1978. She was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, serving in the Nurse Corps. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Fred Fox officiating. A private interment will be held at the discretion of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Wesleyan Church, 89 S.
