Majel M. Gossett

Majel Marie Gossett, 71, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Monday morning, Dec. 10, 2007 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born May 1, 1936 in Vinton County, the daughter of Phillip and Mary (Walsh) Haynes. On Sept. 12, 1960 she married Lloyd C. Gossett who survives. Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Howard Beatty, Chillicothe and Tami and Nicholas Kraynek, Clarksville, a son, Alan Gossett, Columbus, grandchildren, Craig (Janet) Beatty, Andrea Beatty, Shane (Heather) Gossett and Gracie, Phillip and Sarah Kraynek and sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Clyde Davis, Chillicothe and Gertrude and Hubert Hay, Ray. Her parents, a daughter, Lisa, 5 sisters and 4 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Gossett was a hairdresser and operated her own shop for several years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Beatty officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday.
