Lynda L. (Fent) Glass

Lynda L. (Fent) Glass passed from this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Arbor Landing at Pawleys Island, SC, after a 99-year earthly life filled with happiness, joy, and a family that adored her.

Mrs. Glass was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Jeffersonville, OH. She was the widow of Roger D. Glass, retired owner of the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home, to whom she had been married for 76 years. She was a former resident of Georgetown, SC; Ocean Isle Beach, NC; Chillicothe, OH, and several other Ohio cities.

She is survived by a daughter, Ronda Glass Wilson (Keith) of Myrtle Beach; a son, Gregory K. Glass (Sherry) of Pooler, Ga.; grandsons, Benjamin Detzler (Shannon) of Myrtle Beach and Connor Glass of Dayton, Ohio; a great-grandson, Camp Detzler; step grandchildren Brian Wilson (Marie) of Greer and Kristi Wilson Holcomb (Clay) of Greer; two step great-granddaughters, Laura Ann Wilson and Addie Mae Wilson of Greer; nieces, Cheri Stanforth and Sue Pitstick (Ted) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and a nephew, Dale Fent (Brenda) of Mansfield, TX.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Edward E. and Irene (Strange) Fent; a brother, John Fent; and a granddaughter, Sarah Detzler.

Services, officiated by Billy Miles, Tidelands Community Hospice Spiritual Care Coordinator, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Georgetown County, followed by interment in the cemetery.

The family thanks the staff and caregivers at Arbor Landing at Pawleys and the care team of Tidelands Community Hospice for their outstanding care, compassion, and support.

The Downtown Chapel of Mayer-Etheridge Funeral Home in Georgetown, SC, is in charge of arrangements.  The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is assisting the family locally.
