Lula Sorrell

Lula Sorrell, 90, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday morning, Nov. 18, 2007 in Liberty Village. She was born Feb. 4, 1917 in Frankfort County, KY, the daughter of Thomas and Ida (Reynolds) Tackett. On Apr. 18, 1936 she married Herman Sorrell who preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1988. Surviving is a sister, Katherine McIntyre, Frankfort, KY, several nieces and nephews including Edith Jamson, Frankfort, KY and special friends, Lorraine Hill and Regina and Brooks Vaughan, all of Chillicothe. Her parents, a sister and 3 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Sorrell was a former employee of Tudor's. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ; the Christian Woman's Fellowship and had served as a volunteer for Adena Regional Medical Center for several years. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Larry Miracle officiating. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Wednesday.
