Lucille L. Merrill

Lucille L. Merrill, 94 of Chillicothe passed from this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Adena Regional Medical Center.  She was born July 17, 1927, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Lawrence W. and Doris (Irwin) Zonner.  On July 4, 1948, she married Robert C. Merrill who preceded her in death January 19, 2000.

Surviving are her children, Rebecca Sue (Daniel) Brown, Cincinnati, OH and Scott Alan Merrill, Chillicothe; her sisters, Eleanor Cook and Beatrice (Gerald) Gallaugher; her brother, Lawrence (Becky) Zonner, all of Chillicothe; a host of nieces and nephews and her 4 feline companions.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Mrs. Merrill was a retired school secretary for Central Elementary School.  She was a long-time member of Tyler United Methodist Church and a member of the Chillicothe Evening Lioness Club and the Ross County Quilters Guild.  Lucille enjoyed sewing, quilting, ceramics, and gardening.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Garry Hogue officiating.  Calling hours will not be observed.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tyler United Methodist Church or the Ross County Humane Society.
