Lucille E. Meeker

Lucille E. Meeker, 89, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday evening, May 4, 2008 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 9, 1918 in Ross County, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Humphrey) Donegan. On Sept. 16, 1939 she married Howard F. Meeker who preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1999. Surviving are sisters-in-law, Ruth McWhorter, Londonderry, Mary Elliott, Evelyn Clary and Marie (Bob) Diehl, all of Chillicothe, a brother-in-law, Jim (Donna) Meeker, Chillicothe, a niece, Sue Weingard, a nephew, Larry Russell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her parents and a sister, Pauline Russell preceded her in death. Mrs. Meeker was a homemaker and together with her husband, farmed in the Londonderry area for many years. She was devoted to her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 8, 2008 in the Londonderry Friends Church with Rev. Larry Ault officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
