Loretta Buchanan, 78 of Chillicothe, died 2:10 PM, Friday, November 5, 2010 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH following an extended illness. She was born October 12, 1932, in Brilliant, OH, the daughter of James and Minnie Hilliard Wilson. May 21, 1949 she married Albert Buchanan who preceded her in death November 22, 1998. Surviving are three daughters Victoria Smith, Hamersville, OH, Cheryl Shepherd, Hopedale, OH and Duane Anderson Rhoads, Lynchburg, OH; two sons, Albert Buchanan, Waukegan, IL and John Buchanan, Hillsboro, OH; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters Mary Margaret Lesure, Weirton, WV , Noamia Matthews, Brilliant, OH and Betty Barns, SC. Her parents, husband, one son James, and a sister, Gladys preceded her in death. Calling hours will not be observed. Burial will be at the discretion of the family in the Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
