Loreta K. Rupert

Loreta Kathryn Rupert, 89, of Chillicothe, quietly passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday evening, June 11, 2011 in Elmcroft of Xenia following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1921 in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Coxey and Cora (Johnson) Westlake. On Nov. 1, 1947 she married Robert R. Rupert, her loving husband for 61 years who passed away June 12, 2008. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta K. Rupert, Xenia; a son, John R. "Jack" Rupert, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Heather (Tom) Burton, Chillicothe and Daniel R. Rupert, McArthur; a sister, Glenna M. Todd, Chillicothe; a brother, John Robert Westlake, Jackson; and nieces, Zelma (Dan) Leach and Wilma Liebe, both of Chillicothe. Loreta was a member of the Faith Chapel Church in Pleasant Valley. She was an avid gardener, a member of the North Fork Garden Club and was a volunteer for the Unioto PTO for several years. Loreta's family would like to thank the staff at Elmcroft of Xenia and the nurses and staff of The Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Tom Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery, Jackson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday.
