Lois Coe

Lois Lee Coe, 86, of Logan, OH, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Sunday morning, Apr. 5, 2009 in Pickering House, Lancaster, OH following an extended illness. She was born Mar. 1, 1923 in Gallia County, OH, the daughter of Raymond and Xelphie Sheline. On Sept. 12, 1945 she married Lewis D. Coe who preceded her in death Apr. 6, 2001. Surviving is a daughter, Ellen (Zearnie) Disbennet, Logan, OH, sons Stephen (Karen) Coe, Zanesville, OH and David (Bonnie) Coe, St. Louis, MO, grandchildren, Melissa Adjouran, Traci Lewis, Bradley and Cody Disbennet, Brian and Jeffrey Coe and Jaime (Clark) Frye and great-grandchildren, Whitnee Stoneburner, Wade Coe and Ian Adjouran. Her parents and a half-sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Coe was a graduate of Glenville State Teachers College and had taught in several areas, retiring in 1985. She had been a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Zanesville and had been residing until recently in Logan with her daughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, Apr. 10, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday.
