October 8, 1939 — April 5, 2026

Chillicothe

Linda Louise (McAdams) Dailey, born on October 8, 1939, to Herbert O. McAdams and Margaret (Kaiser) McAdams passed away on Resurrection Sunday, April 5th at 5:43am. She was at home surrounded by several loved ones. Linda was a member of the former Bridge Street Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday bible school for many years and impacted many lives. She was also a nurse’s aide at the old Chillicothe hospital and several local nursing homes.

Surviving her in death is her loving husband of almost 63 years, James Dailey. Her children, Maggie and Chris Smalley, Dottie McCoy, and Bill Dailey. Her grandchildren, Chelsie Hedrick, Kimmie and Roger Williams, Katie McCoy and Jason McWhorter, Josie McCoy, Kacey and Brian Cutler, and Katlin and Cody Boyd. Also, her great-grandchildren, Lane, Lydia & Charleigh Williams, Keegan McCoy, Logan Murray, Aubrey Hedrick, Jordan & Colt McWhorter, Corbin & Greyson Cutler, and Kasen Boyd. Her brother and sister in-law, David and Pat Dailey. Her nieces and nephews, Debbie Bennett & family, Greg Meeker & family, Bob & Kathy Meeker, Jessie & Mackenzie Bacarella, Davey, Mary & Cooper Dailey, special niece Lisa McAdams Cooley, Jerry, Kayla & Marliegh Cooley, Calvin and Devon Cooley, Ben McAdams & family, Diane & Sydnie McAdams, and Megan Hunt. Adopted grandchildren, Lisa Shaw (and kids), Lyndsey & Steven Baxter (Declan, Jensen, & Sutton), and Stephanie & Sophie Salisbury. She was also very close to her cousins, Bonnie Hathaway, Susie & Tom Mullins, who knew her as Unda Uw. Her very special friend, Margie Hammond.

Preceding her in death, her Mother and Father (who is listed above), her brother and sister in-law, Bill and Karen McAdams, her in-laws, Lyle and Dorothy Dailey, son in-law, Clark McCoy, sister and brother in-law, Gwynie & Ronald Meeker, nephew, Mark McAdams, and cousins, Connie Stockwell and Larry Mullens.

Her love is the kind that will always be a part of God’s beautiful plan, to make you feel cherished and special as only a Mother and Grandmother can. She taught us how to love, how to give, and how to live. Her love was the thread that held our family together. Heaven gained an angel on that early Easter morning but we all lost a very big piece of our hearts.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her.” Proverbs 31:25-28

A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced.
