Linda Marie Bennett

Linda Marie Bennett, 65 of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, 2012 in Ohio State University Hospitals, Columbus following an extended battle with multiple myeloma and leukemia.  She was born Apr. 26, 1947 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Charles K. and Mary L. (Dennewitz) Bennett.

Surviving are a sister, Marjorie Cooper, Spokane, WA; a brother, Charles K. (Donna) Bennett, Jr., Springfield, OH; an aunt, Gladys Osborne, Jackson, OH; an uncle, Paul (Setsuko) Dennewitz, Newport, RI; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Jay Wopperer, Buffalo, NY and Rachel and Richard Vance, Erlanger, KY.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and 2 brothers.

Linda was a US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.  She was a retired employee of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe.  She was deeply spiritual and was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church.  An avid photographer, she also enjoyed genealogy and sewing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Don Mundy officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
