Lillis M. Fowler

Lillis M. Fowler, 86, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Tuesday morning, Jan. 4, 2011 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 19, 1924 in Clarksburg, OH, the daughter of Alfred and Rosa (Davis) Morris. On Dec. 25, 1945 she married Albert S. Fowler who preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1989. Surviving are daughters, Roberta and husband, John Raymond, Chillicothe, Carol and husband, Russell Smith, Pine Bluff, AL, Sheila Thompson, Chillicothe and Annette and husband, Dave Vance, Hillsboro, a son, Jack and wife, Cathy Fowler, Circleville, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, a daughter, Brenda Lee Fowler, a son, Alfred Steven Fowler, a step-grandson, Brandon Koch, 7 sisters and 6 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Fowler had been a sales clerk for Schachne's, The Beverly Shop and Mack's Department Store. She enjoyed sewing and was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Chillicothe Paints and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved and was devoted to her family. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life in memory of Lillis who was a cancer survivor.
