Lillian L. Doyle

Lillian L. Doyle, 84, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Saturday morning, Dec. 8, 2007 in Westmoreland Place. She was born Jan. 28, 1923 in Leon, WV, the daughter of Charles D. and Rosa (Atwood) Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John W. Doyle on Mar. 1, 2004. Surviving are daughters, Barbara (Alan "Doc" Whitmore) Conley, The Plains, OH, Linda Martin, Chillicothe and Allyn (David) Sachs, Mt. Sterling, OH, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Minney. Her parents and a brother, Tom preceded her in death. Lillian was a waitress for many years, retiring from the Holiday Inn, Chillicothe after more than 20 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Rutherford officiating. Following the services, Lillian had requested cremation. Calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or a charity of choice.
