Lex E. Hawk, Sr.

Lex E. Hawk, Sr., 73, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Friday evening, January 11, 2013 in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born September 10, 1939 in Ross County, the son of Ruben and Goldie (Harris) Hawk. On August 31, 1961 he married Jesscoetta “Sue” Detty who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Deborah (Robert) Miller, Chillicothe and Theresa (John) Dyke, Waverly; a son, Lex E. (Rhonda) Hawk, Jr., Jackson; grandchildren, Robert, Todd, Benjamin, Nicholas, Dylan and Jessica; a brother, David (Esther) Hawk, Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews. His parents, a grandson, Lex E. Hawk, III, a sister and 4 brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Hawk was an employee of the Chillicothe City Schools, retiring in 1992. He was a former volunteer fireman for Scioto Township and was an active CB radio operator for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 14, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Huntington Township Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday.
