Larry E. Vest, Sr.
March 12, 1941 — February 13, 2014
Larry E. Vest, Sr., 72, of Kingston, passed from this life on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Heartland of Chillicothe as the result of an auto accident in January. He was born in Chillicothe on March 12, 1941, the son of John Wesley Vest II and Helen M. (Kight) Vest.
Surviving are his daughters, Shelly J. Vest (Terry Frey), Chillicothe and Jannette L. (Robert) Taylor, Raleigh, NC; sons, Jeffery A. (Patty) Vest, Yellowbud, Eric L. (Mary Beth) Vest, Chillicothe, Mark A. Vest, Athens and Larry E. Vest, Jr.(Connie Reed), Chillicothe; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Melissa (Hershel) Gray, Chillicothe; nieces and nephews, Margie and Rick Allison and Mandy Weeks; and special friends, Charles and Patricia Mattox, Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Wesley Vest III.
Mr. Vest was a retired employee of DuPont with 27 years of service. He was a member of the DuPont Shooter’s Club and the NRA. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, gun collecting and wild life and nature photography.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 17, 2014 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday.
