L. Lucille Arledge

L. Lucille Arledge, 86, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, Sept. 20, 2011 in Traditions of Chillicothe following a brief illness. She was born Mar. 18, 1925 in Grafton, WV, the daughter of Victor and Eva K. (Grant) Knight. On Apr. 26, 1952 she married James H. Arledge who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2009. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Janis L. and Royce Davis; a son, Larry J. and his fiance, Diana Whitt, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Michelle (Shawn) Harper, Christopher (Dawn) Arledge, Ryan Davis and Renae (Jon) Parker; great-grandchildren, Gaven and Ellie Harper, Lexi and Gracie Arledge, Cash and Dylan Parker and Natalie Davis; sisters, Leolyn Ross, Massillon, OH and Ruby Ramsey, Circleville; brothers, Clarence (Thelma) Knight, Londonderry and Ray (Jackie) Davis, Rio Grande, OH. Her parents and a sister, Gladys Shank preceded her in death. Mrs. Arledge was a former employee of Purpero's and McCambridge's Grocery Stores. She had attended the West Side Nazarene Church and was a member of the Ross County Senior Citizens. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Larry Ault officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
