Kathryn Lucille (Wade) Hoff, 92, of Dublin, OH passed from this life Monday afternoon, June 15, 2009 at Emerald Crossings, Dublin following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1917 in Huntington, WV, the daughter of Clarence Ray and Louise Catherine (Michael) Wade. On Nov. 24, 1937 she married Ucal Day Hoff who preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1996. Surviving are daughters, Sallie Kathryn (James) Williams, Dublin, OH and Linda Lou (Robert) Clement, Macon, MO, a son David Drew (Gerri) Hoff, Portland, OR, a brother, James Wade, Chillicothe, OH, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and nephews, Ralph Wheeler, Michael, Daniel and Charles Wade. Her parents, a brother, Andrew Wade, sisters Ruby Dawson, Edra Wheeler and Wanda Dyer preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and after moving to Austin Manor in Delaware, OH from Casey, IL in 2003 she became an active member of the William Street United Methodist Church and the Rachel Circle. In the 35 years prior to moving to Delaware, she lived in Casey, IL where she was an active member of the Casey United Methodist Church, the Naomi Circle Woman's Club and the Order of Eastern Star. She retired there in 1999 after 15 years as a florist at the Pouge Flower Shop. Due to her husband's work with Marathon Oil Company, they were transferred often in the early years of their marriage. Over the years, she was a past president of the Boy Scout Auxiliary, a Cub Scout Den Mother in Findley, OH and a member of the White Shrine in Chillicothe, OH. Besides her devotion to family and community, she enjoyed painting and flower gardening. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Friday, June 19, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. David Woodyard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the William St. UM Church, 28 W.
