Karen E (Minnix) Posey

Karen E. Posey, 67, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Thursday December 12, 2024 in Legacy of Chillicothe, following an extended illness.  She was born on December 23, 1956 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Robert S. and Mary E. (Parker) Minnix.  She married Ronald Posey, who survives.

Also surviving are her daughters, Michelle (Brandon) Zimmer, Lewis Center, OH; and Jackie (Todd) Smith, Starke, FL; her son, Chris (Belinda) Dunn, West Jefferson, OH; grandchildren, Owen Zimmer, Rylee Dunn, Clayton Dunn, Katelyn (Tyler) Kirkpatrick, and Todd Smith, Jr., great-grandchildren, Kyler Kirkpatrick, Paisley Kirkpatrick, and Oakley Smith, sister, Cheryl Ray, her life long best friend, Cathy, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Delores Rhodes.

Karen was 1974 graduate of Chillicothe High School.  She had worked as a Book keeper, and was a former member of Plug Run CCCU.  Karen volunteered her time making meals for people in the community.

A private service will be held at the discretion of the family.
