John Clyde Tolles, 63, of Chillicothe, formerly of Oskaloosa, Iowa, unexpectedly passed from this life on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1949 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Ann (Creech) Tolles.
He attended Oskaloosa High chool and had resided in Kansas City for a few years before returning to Oskaloosa. In 1976 he moved to Chillicothe where he continued his career as a cook. He was a employed as a cook forthe Red Lobster Restaurant in Chillicothe.
Surviving is a sister, Joyce (Richard) Iseton, University Park, Iowa; a brother, Bill (Loretta) Tolles, Rose Hill, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends in the Chillicothe area. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister, Connie Sue Tolles and brothers, Gary and Junior "Floyd" Tolles.
John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as fishing, playing and watching golf and football. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed music and was a memorabilia collector.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Old Rose Hill Cemetery, Rose Hill, Iowa. The family will recieve friends at the Garland-VanArkle-Langkamp Funeral Chapel, 2116 North 3rd Street, Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Memorial may be made to the funeral home in his name.
