John Edwin Keeton

October 31, 1982 — February 22, 2013

John Edwin “Johnny” Keeton, 30, of Chillicothe went to be with his mother on Friday, February 22, 2013.  He was born October 31, 1982 to Gary “John” Keeton and Tammera L. Caplinger who preceded him in death on December 31, 2005.

Surviving are his father, of Chillicothe; grandparents, Walter E. “Pepaw” and Clarabelle “Memaw” Caplinger, of Frankfort; sisters, Christina Keeton, Kimberly Holton, Carrie Steinbrook and Tamara Brust, all of Chillicothe; aunts and uncles, Sherry (Tim) Clary, Edwin “Tony” Caplinger and Bret Caplinger, all of Frankfort and Cathi Caplinger, Bainbridge; cousins, Travis Clary, Jessica (Matt) Warth, Adam Clary, Jake Caplinger, Brettney Caplinger, Rusty Caplinger, Neeley (Jeff) Allen, Jared Caplinger and Jade Caplinger and several second cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dolly Keeton.

Johnny was an avid participant in the local Gus MackerTournament and the Special Olympics for which he won several trophies and medals.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, video games and sports and he especially enjoyed wrestling, NASCAR and sprint car racing.  He was a very happy person with a kind and caring heart.  His family and friends meant the world to him.

His family would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who has cared for Johnny over the years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, Ohio.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
